PrincipalJulie Harris is in her thirteenth year as Principal of Sun Valley School.  Prior to her taking the helm at SV, she was Laurel Dell principal for five years.  Julie moved into administration after teaching grades 1 through five  for SRCS, at both Laurel Dell and Sun Valley!

Ms. Harris received her undergraduate degree from UC Davis, with a major in Psychology and a minor in Education.  She went on to pursue her Masters in Educational administration at San Francisco State University.

Since coming to SCRS, Ms. Harris has done Intervention coordination, testing coordination, and served as project lead for pre-K to 3 initiative as well as serving on the Board for Marin County School Volunteers.   Under Julie’s guidance, Sun Valley  was recognized as a California Distinguished School in 2012 and has gotten extensive recognition from the Green Business association for multiple projects involving recycling.

In her time away from SV, Julie is an active wife and mom, who hikes, cycles, spins, runs, scuba dives and does yoga!
